 Jean luc Jubert, born in 1969 in Toulon, south of France had started to climb in 1979. Traveler, alpinist and climber, he opened many routes in France and in different countries such as Spain, Thailand, China, Canada, US,…
Since 1994, he has been actively participating in the promotion of alpinism and sport climbing in India by sponsoring competitions and route setting many new lines himself in various part of the country such as Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maddhya Pradesh, Delhi state, Goa and Himalchal Pradesh.
He has worked closely with promising Indian climbers involving them in his projects and exposing them to the best world climbers such as Alex Chabot, Chloé Graftiaux.
He has also served a stint as the coach of India national team in 2006.
Nowadays, he is based in Manali, Himalchal Pradesh, with his family where he is actively promoting rock climbing and new adventures activities such as Canyoning. He is the India national representative of world famous mountaineering brands such as Cassin, Beal, Camp Safety, Expression Holds, and Vertical Extreme Clothing.
